Check and replace the weather stripping before the "big freeze" hits
One part of your garage door that often goes unnoticed is the soft rubber weather strip that runs along the bottom of the door. You should check this strip for wear and tear regularly, but especially before winter. If you can feel a breeze coming from underneath the door, or you can see light passing through the bottom, it's time to call our experienced service team to get it changed.
Keep out of reach of children
When you get your automatic garage doors installed, make sure to have our team place the wall-mounted control panel high enough so your children can't get to it. Keep the remote control out of their reach as well. When opening or closing the door, always make sure your little ones are far away from it.
Keep your garage door clean to keep that "new door" look
Your garage door is often one of the first things visitors see. A buildup of dust and grime is not only unsightly, but failing to remove the dirt can deteriorate the paintwork, which will make your door "age" a lot faster. Use a mild detergent to clean your door and keep it looking new for as long as possible.
